So my birthday came and went, and lo and behold, I got an amazing present: a drawing tablet of my very own! Now I can feel all special and do digital painting and photomanips and all the cool things that I've been drooling over on other people's pages for years. Currently working on a portrait in Corel Painter X, based on an ebony drawing I did a while back. Realism takes a while, but I'd say the skin is 75-80% done, the lips are done, and the eyes are 90% finished. So my family went on vacation to Pennsylvania and North Carolina...I was struck by how calm being around trees and mountains makes me.
